How to Easily Cut Burlap

This is a teeny tiny post on how to easily cut burlap to make cute crafts like this one:

When I was searching for burlap crafts on Pinterest I found a post by Celeste at decorbytheseashore.com and have found it to be invaluable! You can find Celeste’s original post by clicking here.

Instructions

First, find where you want to cut. Pull out one verticle thread (or more if the weave is very fine).

This makes a perfect little path for your scissors. Cut along the path. That’s it! So quick and easy, but so helpful in keeping the burlap square and keeping it from fraying. Cool, eh?!
