Minnie Mouse Birthday Party

Look at that little sweetie!! This party was about five years ago (blimey, I look young), and I just love looking back at that little face (hers, not mine)!

Minnie Mouse is classic. I was so glad to do a party themed around her. Some of our ideas were based on the classic Disney Minnie Mouse, and some were on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Like all my parties, you can go as crazy or cool as you want. It’ll be a delight!

Decorations:

I used my Cricut for a lot of these decorations. The sign in the picture above was hung on the front door. I designed it on PicMonkey and printed it. “Come inside it’s fun inside” is part of the theme song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Like I said, this party was years ago, so I can’t remember if my sister made the cake or my niece did. I definitely didn’t. The Figaro (from Pinocchio, and Minnie’s pet cat in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) and Minnie figurines are from our Disney Candy Land game. The Happy Birthday cake topper I made on my Cricut. I glue gunned toothpicks on the back to make it stand up. The font is called Waltograph and I downloaded it from daFont.

The cutlery and plates are from the dollar store. I wrapped white ribbon on the jars and Cricutted (is that a word?) the Minnie Mouse faces and bows. Aren’t they sweet? I like how neat and clean they look. Pretty but not overdone. (Look at how clean my kettle is! It’s practically black now)

The kids are waiting for our guest to arrive!

More Cricut magic! Cardstock and string. The other nice thing about Mickey and Minnie is that you can make their faces in Cricut without having to upload any images, or buy them from Cricut Access. Just take three circles, adjust them to the right size, and weld them.

Then, of course, add in your typical streamers, balloons and other traditional decorations. We bought the helium balloons (they’re Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse) for the birthday girl’s actual birthday, but then had the party a couple weeks later. They’re trying to stay afloat!

Okay, how’s this for nostalgia!? This record was one my siblings and I listened to as kids. Now here it is making a mighty comeback! Did anybody else have this?? The great news is that it’s on YouTube.

Activities:

Make your own Minnie Mouse Hairbow

Supplies:

  • Cardstock bows (I used my Cricut)
  • Hair clips (I got mine from Amazon)
  • Stickers, markers, etc.
  1. Give each girl a bow and let her decorate to her heart’s content.

2. Use a hot glue gun to glue the hair clip the back of the bow. (Notice the birthday girl’s shirt. I Cricutted (there’s that word again!) that, too. I love my Cricut!!

3. Put the bow in their hair. The girls really liked this activity. And the bows turned out so pretty!

Pin the Bow on Minnie Mouse

*Disclaimer* I have stopped playing pin the whatever on the whatever. It’s way too easy for kids to cheat, and then they have to defend themselves because everybody know they cheated. Then someone ends up in tears. Maybe because they cheated. And got caught. Maybe.

That being said, it really is cute and fun (unless the aforementioned scenario takes place) and easy to make.

Find Sneaky Pete

(I didn’t take any pictures of this one.) I printed pictures from online of Sneaky Pete. You know Sneaky Pete, right? PJ’s dad from A Goofy Movie? Anyway, in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Sneaky Pete is always causing trouble and … sneaking. So I printed a bunch of small pictures of him and had him hidden all over the living room. The kids had to find him, kind of like an Easter Egg hunt. It was fun for all ages.

Wasn’t that cute? Yes it was. I’m glad you liked it. (sorry, feeling saucy) But, truly, I hope you find something to add to your little sweetie’s party. ❤
